By 1994, handling all the applicants coming from TRAVISA- Kottayam, to the Madras Consulate for American Immigrant and Nonimmigrant visas single-handed by Joseph Chacko, then operating from his Madras Residence, was proved to be impossible. TRAVISA Madras office was thus started in 1994, near the American Consulate, (638 Mount Road, Thousand Lights, Chennai -6). Since Madras (now Chennai) was the Head Quarters of American Passages where Joseph Chacko resided permanently, TRAVISA-Chennai was made the Head Office. This office was formally dedicated and inaugurated by Bishop Dr. Joseph Mar Irenaeus (Presently Dr.JOSEPH MAR THOMA) on 21 Jan 1995 as the Head Office of TRAVISA Tours & Travels. Mrs. Elizabeth (KCG) Verghese lighted the Lamp.

In April 2007 the Head Office was shifted to our own present premises. The new office was dedicated by Bishop Dr. Abraham Mar Poulose. Madam ELISABETH VERGHESE, Chairperson, Hindustan Group of Institutions, lighted the Lamp and made the first ticket sale.
